FSA extends COVID-19 Federal student loan flexibilities through no later than 60 days after the payment pause ends.

Great Lakes will no longer be servicing federal student loans as of June 2023. Nelnet, whom we've shared the same parent company with since 2018, will service the loans of transferred Great Lakes borrowers. Like two sides of the same coin, we'll continue to work together with the shared commitment of helping borrowers successfully manage their student loans. ScholarNet and FastChoice are not affected by this transfer.

A New ScholarNet Login Process and Site is coming June 22nd

  • You'll log in to your ScholarNet or FastChoice account from MyScholarNet.com.
  • You'll receive a new user ID.
  • We'll be transitioning to PingID for two-factor authentication to ensure account and data security.
  • Your experience once logged in to ScholarNet or FastChoice will remain the same.

Loan Servicing

As of June 1, all Great Lakes-serviced loans have been transferred to Nelnet. If you're trying to reach Nelnet's Nsight Plus School Portal, visit here. Consolidation Origination

On 06/01/2023, the Consolidation Origination Services Tool and Loan Origination Support materials on this site will no longer be available. Starting June 1, inquiries and adjustment requests for Great Lakes, as an originator, will begin to flow through the decommissioned consolidation origination process. More Information
