More Financial Wellness Support for You and Your Students

May 25, 2017

If you work with college students, you know it takes persistence and creativity to connect your students with important financial wellness knowledge, tips, and tools. We share your goal of helping students be successful in school and beyond, so we've added support—in the form of a new Financial Wellness Support page in Support Central on our Financial Aid Professionals portal.

Great Lakes created Support Central to make it easy for you to find everything you need to help things run smoothly in your financial aid office and for your students. In addition to helpful forms, you'll find overviews, easy-to-follow how-to documents, references, and resources for engaging students—all related to a variety of important topics. In nearby Support pages, you'll find resources to help address your challenges related to Default Management, Private Loan Processing, Loan Origination, and Loan Servicing.

Financial Wellness Support to Enhance Your Online Curriculum

Financial Wellness Support Page

GradReady®, Great Lakes' online curriculum, makes it easy for you to enhance and measure your students' financial knowledge and behaviors. Our latest addition to Support Central, Financial Wellness Support, works hand-in-hand with GradReady or your own financial wellness program to help you further groom students for success in school and life—connecting them with helpful resources before, during, and after college.

Check out strategies and resources to get you started with financial literacy curriculum planning, and calendar reminders of what matters to your students (and when) so they're more likely to hear you when you offer support. You'll find tools to help you gather support and measure success in financial wellness, as well as Guiding Students to Financial Wellness: A Collection of Case Studies, our helpful guide to getting started—or improving—on your financial wellness efforts. You'll also find electronic and PDF flyers you can use to engage students in gaining financial wellness knowledge and skills for a variety of situations and needs.

At Great Lakes, we're already on our way to expanding our footprint as your resource for supporting student success. Watch for more to come from Great Lakes in the coming year, and let your representative or our Client Services team know how we can help you support your students more effectively.
